Welcome Winter, Welcome Dandruff

Winter is here and it has brought some dandruff for us. Dandruff in winters is usually caused by a dry scalp, which can feel itchy at times.

To treat dandruff right, you’ve got to use the right hair care products that are meant for the job. In the winter, we switch many shampoo and conditioner just for the sake of dandruff. However, as you might know, that just making this swap isn’t going to help you in long run. If you think that only shampoo can fight dandruff than you are wrong! Like you take care of your body, in a similar manner you need to take care of your hairs too.

Here are some remedies that can help you to get rid of dandruff at home

Brushing the scalp increases blood circulation thus increasing the secretion of oils that keep scalp healthy. It also helps in increasing the volume of the hair naturally.

Avoid Direct Heat

Direct contact with heat such as hairdryers—make the scalp dry. It is one of the most major causes of a flaky scalp. Try to dry your hair with a towel and then let it dry naturally. Hairdryers are so commonly used in the winter because wet hair can lead to headaches and cold but try to avoid hairdryers in winter.

Oil your hair

Oil your hair before a bath( twice a week). Coconut oil is considered the best for the scalp and the hair. You can also mix a few oils with it like olive oil, neem oil, almond oil, and castor oil in equal measure. Slightly heat the oil and apply it from scalp to tip. Wash it off with a mild shampoo.
