Sanitary Pads Exempted From GST

The Finance Minister, Piyush Goyal, has announced a big relief for a million of consumers. Goods and Service Tax which was 12% on sanitary pads has been reduced to zero.  The announcement which came today has reduced tax rates on footwear, small televisions, water heaters, electric irons, refrigerators, lithium-ion batteries, hair dryers, vacuum cleaners, food appliances and ethanol.
