The transport department is on a hunt for cacking down all the vehicles that don’t have a high-security registration number. Owners of these vehicles would land themselves in trouble if don’t get these numberplates before October 13. SC court has made this procedure for the general public as you can register for the numberplate online on the RTO portal from October 2. It’s important to get these numberplates before October 13 or else you will be fined or three-months jail for such careless behavior.
October 3: Registration Portal will go live.
October 13: Deadline
₹213 for a four-wheeler.
₹67 for a two-wheeler.
Procedure to apply for a new number plate:
Log in to the online portal
Provide registration number
An appointment will be given with date and center details.
