Aadhar: Where you need it and where you don’t?

The apex court has declared Aadhar as constitutional but with certain restrictions. The case has been decided by a constitutional bench of 5 judges including the current CJI Dipak Misra, Justice AS Sikri, Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Ashok Bhushan.

The judgment is apparently criticized for its vague and contradictory nature.

As while Aadhar is not mandatory for opening a bank account but is mandatory for making a pan card, which is mandatory for a bank account so technically opening of a bank account one needs Aadhar.
